Why we use UPS ground shipping services
UPS is a legal, authorized shipper of pepper spray products. Since pepper and defense aerosol sprays are considered a hazardous material by U.S. government agencies, special precautions must be taken to get your order to you safely. Shipment of pepper spray is not allowed by plane (air mail), which is why we cannot offer faster shipping methods or delivery by the United States Postal Service (regular snail mail). UPS has proper procedures and precautions in place for using ground transportation services to get your order to you as quickly as possible.
UPS and FedEx are generally the only shipping services that authorize the shipment of pepper spray. The United States Postal Service does not have the shipping procedures in place to lawfully and safely ship pepper spray products. We have recently noticed a few online pepper spray stores using the United States Postal Service to ship pepper spray at a lower cost. What these retail stores and their customers don't know is they could be endangering thousands of postal service personnel, local citizens and airport staff by improperly shipping this specialized product. The Pepper Spray Store, however, is dedicated to using authorized shipping services to lawfully deliver your order safely.
Order Processing
All orders are processed for shipment Monday through Friday only.
Canceling Orders
If you need to cancel an order that has not already been shipped, we may be able to cancel it. To do so, please call us immediately at (888) 811-8864. However, if your order has already been sent out for delivery, we will be unable to cancel it.
Arrival Times
UPS Domestic Ground Shipping
Shipment normally arrives five to seven (5-7) business days after your order has left our location (weekends excluded), provided the item is in stock. In the event that your item is not in stock, you will be otherwise notified (if you have provided us with a valid e-mail address). All UPS orders are shipped and delivered Monday through Friday only. UPS does not deliver to post office boxes.

Change of Delivery Addresses.
If you need to change the delivery address on a completed order that has not shipped yet, please call us immediately at (888) 811-8864. However, if your order has already been sent out for delivery, we will be unable to change the delivery address.
Sales Tax
Sales tax is charged on total merchandise plus handling charges for orders delivered to Washington State. There is never any sales tax on orders delivered to AK, DE, MT, NH, and OR. For more information about the collection of Sales Tax for your particular state, please see our Sales Tax page.
